It is now only 11 days until our exciting adventure to Le Touquet in France on the Twin Towns Challenge. Myself, Rosie Gladden, Danielle Green and Alistair Spencer are leaving from Blenheim Palace on Friday the 27th May 2016 in a convoy of nearly 100 cars all in aid of our designated Brethertons charity, Special Effect.
Our car is a 1996 Lexus GS300 and presently it is being serviced to make sure that we arrive there safely and get back safely! The car was owned by one of our clients who took it on this challenge last year so it bodes well that it will live up to expectation. The car is covered with photos of Brethertonians pulling funny faces and wearing comedy disguises, so it’ll definitely be eye-catching.
Our trip takes us from Blenheim Palace via Silverstone, down to Folkestone and then over the Channel to Le Touquet where we will spend two days networking and hopefully making new friends. The Saturday of the weekend sees us putting the car through its paces around Abbeyville Motor Racing Circuit. Hopefully it will be in one piece at the finish line - and so will we! We return to Blenheim Palace on Monday 30th May.
This weekend of fun has a serious objective. It is all in aid of a fantastic charity, Special Effect, and we hope to raise lots of money for this wonderful cause.
