Corporate Social Responsibility

At Brethertons, we think the key to success is our staff and the community they live in. We really believe that investing in our communities is the way to safeguard the future of everyone we care about, from staff to suppliers, to deserving causes and of course, our customers.

We’re really proud to take an active part in supporting local charities and community initiatives, and think it’s important to keep in touch with our roots. We also feel passionate about helping others less fortunate and actively support local causes such as Katharine House Hospice, Myton Hospice, Dogs for the Disabled, Banbury Young Homelessness Project (BYHP), Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and Hope4. We also support national charities such as Crohns and Colitis UK, MacMillan Cancer Care, Stagecoach and Cancer Research’s Race for Life. We also like to get involved in as many community initiatives as possible and hold talks at local schools and legal clinics at retirement villages.

Each year, we nominate a ‘charity of the year’ to be our focus for the next 12 months. We really go to town helping to raise money for these charities and put on things like cake sales, fun runs, a staff tuck shop, charity balls and even take part in the odd marathon!

We also passionately believe in helping to create a sustainable future for ourselves, the community and future generations, and through things like recycling, car sharing and the use of Fair Trade products in our offices, we feel we can make a difference.
