I was Senior Practitioner for Warwickshire Relate until 2013 and completed all of their training which qualified me to work in a variety of modalities; person-centered, psychodynamic, systemic, solution focused and CBT (Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies). My main area of expertise is working with relationship issues and relationship breakdown and the grieving process
Although family breakdown is fairly commonplace in today’s society, each affected family member’s response to it is unique. I’m proud to be able to work with customers to help them find comfort and support in their individual circumstances. I offer individual support and therapy and write and deliver bespoke therapeutic workshops for adult groups. I also offer creative, therapeutic work to small groups of children and young people.
I am a member of BACP and adhere to their professional guidelines ensuring I regularly attend CPD event to ensure I update my skills and enhance my knowledge on issues such as: domestic violence and abuse, suicide and self-harm and mental health issues
Brethertons regularly feature my blogs on their website where I try to offer support to those experiencing family breakdown, the effects of a relationship ending, managing parenting post separation and the recovery process.
I consider it a privilege to offer the work that I do and applaud the courage of those who choose to open up their lives to me in their efforts to recover from, what might be for some, traumatic circumstances.
