At our October meeting we enjoyed a fascinating talk from Mike Grocott, Principal of the Space Studio in Banbury. Mike spoke about the historic forthcoming mission of Tim Peake, the country’s first government sponsored Astronaut. Tim will be flying to the International Space Station where he will spend 6 months living and working as part of Expedition 45. Mike gave an overview of Tim’s mission as well as a fantastic demonstration in which he made a comet using household ingredients (including cat litter and Worcester sauce) and dry ice!
