If we’re not careful we can leave a networking event only having spoken to people we already know! The June meeting of Rugby Does Breakfast focused on creating an opportunity to speak to more people than at a regular event. Ken Norman facilitated a session of “Speed Networking” exercises aimed at getting delegates in front of more people.
The idea was to have a mini business meeting with at least five people at the event. Each participant had two minutes to let the other person know what service or products they provide, to discuss their business needs and to articulate their ideal referral. It’s much more effective than just delivering the usual elevator pitch.
A great time was had by all with some top tips being shared along with plenty of business cards!
