Wasps Rugby Football Club - Nick Eastwood, Deputy Chairman

Nick Eastwood is the Deputy Chairman of Wasps Rugby Football Club and has been on the Board of Directors since 2014. Before his promotion to Deputy Chairman in March 2015, Eastwood held the position of Wasps CEO and was instrumental in instigating and managing the club’s successful move from High Wycombe to Coventry.
He played a key role in the process of acquiring the Ricoh Arena and has been the club’s public face during and since the move.

An Oxford graduate, Eastwood joined Wasps as CEO on the back of a successful 12-year spell with the RFU, helping to grow the RFU’s net worth from £35m to £180m and profits from a loss of £5m to profit of £15m. The ICAEW-qualified accountant was previously Global Head of Corporate Services at The Body Shop International PLC and held senior management roles at Arthur Andersen and Lifetime Corporation USA.
Nick gave an excellent presentation about how the future of Wasps was successfully turned around from the brink of disaster.

He went on to talk about how the purchase and team move to the Ricoh arena may affect the local area and the positive outcomes for local business
