Brethertons move to new Rugby home

  • Posted

This week has seen a monumental move in the town as over 100 of Brethertons staff finally came together under one roof. Brethertons LLP has consolidated three town centre offices into Montague House, a single energy-efficient, purpose-built building on Clifton Road.

Richard Pell, Brethertons Senior Partner said: “It was the right time to make this significant investment into the long term future of the firm. The decision to move has been made for the benefit of staff, colleagues and above all else, for the benefit of our clients and our local community. The new offices allow us to accommodate more staff, including specialist Commercial and Private Client departments, but still keep us at the heart of the Rugby community. We are very excited to be progressing into this new era and look forward to welcoming new and existing clients to our new home. Our focus continues to be the delivery of an excellent level of service to each of our clients and our new home allows us to do that by offering an accessible and friendly location right in the heart of the town.”

Designed by Rugby-based HB Architects and built by civil engineering firm Stepnell Ltd, the 1,616m² building has been designed to be sympathetic to the local conservation area. The offices benefit from an open-plan flexible design with break-out rooms and individual client meeting rooms. Sited on its own detached plot, there is access from Moultrie Road and car parking to the rear.

Nigel Poulton of Stepnell Ltd says: “It has been highly rewarding to help create this state-of-the-art office which will enable Brethertons to provide the best possible environment for clients and staff and accommodate the firm’s continued expansion, while maintaining its historic roots in Rugby. As a Rugby-based firm ourselves, we are particularly proud to have worked on this prestigious new building and played a part in Brethertons’ continuing success story.”

For over 200 years, Brethertons history has been closely aligned with Rugby’s own. Before the move, Brethertons had been located within the same building – 16 Church Street – for an incredible 160 years. Today, Brethertons is a an award-winning firm offering a comprehensive and innovative range of legal services for businesses and individuals, whilst still remaining true to its roots as a local firm providing great service to local people and businesses. Its growth of 28% in year 2013-2014 is testament to the strong relationships with its existing clients, and those they are building each day with new ones. The firm has recently appointed a new CEO, Shaun Jardine, who will guide the firm through the next chapter of growth and development as one of the UK’s leading legal services providers. The new building is there for its staff and clients and Brethertons look forward to welcoming you to their new home.
