Brethertons Solicitors LLP are proud to be a Stoke Mandeville Spinal Research 10th Anniversary Ambassador

Every 4 hours someone in the UK suffers a Spinal Cord Injury, and as a result of their injury, many people with paralysis experience a lifetime of debilitating health complications.

Founded in 2006, Stoke Mandeville Spinal Research (SMSR) is an independent, national charity seeking to promote quality of life in people with spinal cord injury (SCI) through research. They work closely with the National Spinal Injuries Centre (NSIC) and with other specialists to help research and then deliver outcomes that will improve the quality of life for those living with SCI. Their vision is to enable people with spinal cord injury to have life after paralysis; a vision shared with Brethertons Solicitors.

Brethertons has an expert team of Spinal Cord Injury Solicitors that specialise in helping people obtain financial security and enabling them to achieve independence after life changing injury.

At Brethertons, our Spinal Cord Injury Solicitors understand the complexities and challenges that individuals face after a life-changing injury. We believe that financial stability and recovering and then preserving independence are crucial in helping our clients to rebuild their lives and achieve their goals.

Our team of solicitors is highly experienced in this field and has a deep understanding of the medical, legal, and financial implications of living with spinal cord injuries. We work closely with our clients to understand their individual needs and circumstances, and tailor our approach accordingly. We provide guidance and support with a wide range of issues, including making a claim for compensation, managing finances, and accessing medical support, counselling, rehabilitation and other support services. At the end of the day our ultimate goal is to help our clients to regain control of their lives and achieve the best possible outcome for their future.

The team has helped people from all over the country secure many millions of pounds of compensation after spinal cord injury and to find a way back to living a fulfilled life after injury. The team is experienced in helping people who have suffered spinal cord injury in all contexts where there is some suggestion that someone else might have caused the injury (road/traffic collision, injury at work; injury in a public place or through clinical negligence). Beyond their day to day to legal work, the team also feels a responsibility to do whatever they can to help whomever they can where spinal cord injury is concerned.

Jon Rees, Partner, and Head of Life Changing Injuries at Brethertons Solicitors says:

“Brethertons Solicitors LLP are proud to be Stoke Mandeville Spinal Research 10th Anniversary Ambassadors. Like Brethertons, SMSR is an organisation that has a wealth of experience and expertise in helping people whose lives have been affected by Spinal Cord Injury. We like the nimble, impactful, and meaningful difference SMSR makes to those it helps. We are convinced that there is so much unmet need where spinal cord injury needs are concerned that every little helps, and often it is the smallest things that make the biggest difference. That shared vision and the desire to help as many people that are affected by spinal cord injuries as we can, and to really listen to, and engage with those who need that help is important to us and to SMSR. We wish SMSR every success in their 10th anniversary year and for many years to come.”
