We are delighted to announce that our Partner in our specialist Child Law Team, Matthew Montanaro, has been appointed as a District Judge sitting in Coventry.
Matthew was appointed as a Deputy District in 2019 alongside his work with us.
Matthew joined Brethertons in 2013 and headed up our specialist Child Law team. Most of his work involved representing the interests of children in cases where social services have become involved, for example care proceedings. Matthew dealt with cases representing the interests of children in complex medical issues, issues surrounding paternity, assessments of children’s capacity, and technical points of law.
We are thrilled for Matthew and we were pleased to support Matthew with his judicial career and wish him well for the future.
