Brethertons is the proud platinum sponsor of the 2019 IRPM Annual Seminar

Brethertons is delighted to confirm it is the platinum sponsor of this year’s Institute of Residential Property Management (IRPM) Annual Seminar, taking place on Thursday 13 June at the spectacular Queen Elizabeth II (QEII) Centre in Westminster, London.

The IRPM Annual Seminar gathers together the industry’s leading professionals and decision makers, for the number one block and build-to-rent property management event of the year. It might be big, but the IRPM Annual Seminar is a friendly and positive event, providing thought leadership, insight and practical support for property management professionals in a fast-changing world.

Andrew Bulmer, CEO of IRPM said: “We are delighted to have Brethertons as our 2019 annual seminar platinum sponsors. They have a wealth of experience of the property management industry and the issues it is currently facing. Brethertons provide an end-to-end service which is a clear advantage to the client.  It demonstrates strength and depth of expertise, and more than that, Brethertons have curated their blend of expertise with the property sector in mind, creating solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.”

As the property management sector is going through the biggest changes just when the nation is reinventing itself - new laws, new codes, new qualifications, new regulation, new best practice, this year’s seminar will tackle the BIG QUESTIONS the sector faces:

  • The Law Commission crystallises its thinking.  Meanwhile…
  • …Government moves on regulation, that code of practice and your qualifications
  • “It’s the economy stupid!”  Where now for UK plc?
  • “What does all this mean for my agency and for me?”
  • As always, those essential updates and “need-to-knows”

Key speakers at the seminar include, Brethertons’ Residential Leasehold Partner, Roger Hardwick as well as Lord Richard Best (Member of the House of Lords), Mark Prisk MP (former Housing Minister), Andrew Bulmer (CEO – IRPM), Gudrun Burnet (Senior Business Partner - Domestic Abuse), Nigel Howell (CEO – FirstPort) and Jeff Platt (Managing Director - Section 20 Ltd).

New for 2019, is the introduction of the Consultation Bubbles, which provide the opportunity to meet, greet and do business with leading industry experts. Brethertons’ Consultation Bubble will cover the full spectrum of residential leasehold issues from service charge recovery and disputes, applications to appoint a manager, applications to vary leases, ground rent sales and purchases to lease compliance as well as dispute resolution, company commercial and employment law. Places are limited on the day. In order to avoid disappointment, Brethertons are urging delegates to book early and secure their slots with its leading specialists in the industry. The process is simple and free and can be done via the IRPM website.

Alison McCormack, Brethertons Director of Legal Services (Property), said: “We are absolutely thrilled and very proud to be the Platinum sponsor for the IRPM Annual Seminar 2019. It’s an exciting time for us and the industry alike. We house an incredible team of highly experienced lawyers, who are directly involved in advising and influencing reform within a number of boards and working parties, including the Law Commission on its eagerly awaited consultation paper on reform of the Right To Manage (RTM). We look forward to an informative day, where we are excited to catch up with existing clients. We are also looking forward to making new contacts by sharing our expertise and views from within the sector.”
