Brethertons raises £5560 for local charities with 'Make a Will' initiative

  • Posted
A leading legal services provider, Brethertons, has raised over £5500 for local charities during ‘Make a Will’ week – an initiative organised by the charities to not only raise vital funds for them, but to encourage people to make a Will to safeguard their family’s future.

A keen supporter of community and charity causes, Brethertons proudly participated in three separate Make a Will week campaigns, organised by local charities Myton House Hospice in Rugby, Katharine House Hospice in Banbury and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.

In return for a suggested donation to the charity, Brethertons’ specialist advisors drafted a bespoke Will detailing the client’s wishes. Brethertons charges no fee for this, the advisors simply donate their skill and experience to clients who in turn make a gift to the charity.

Hannah Morris, Corporate Fundraising Development Manager at Myton Hospice explains why Brethertons’ support during Make a Will week is so vital: “We would like to say a huge thank you to the Brethertons team for taking part in our Make a Will Week again this year and for their continued support. Each year we touch the lives of over 4,000 local people through our hospices and family support services and the money raised will make a real difference to our patients and their families.”

Partner and Head of Private Client, Nadiya Virani-Bland says, “We’re delighted to have been able to support the charities during their Make a Will week campaigns. As a local firm we always like to ‘give something back’ to the community we serve. I’m thrilled we managed to raise such a fantastic total. £5560 will go a long way in supporting the continued work of these much-loved local charities.”
