Partner and Head of Family Law, Rugby
I am a Private Client Solicitor and assist clients with drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney and Trust documentation, and related taxation issues. I also advise executors, trustees and beneficiaries in relation to their rights and obligations in relation to the Estates and Trusts of those who have passed away.
I qualified as a Solicitor in September 2003 and as a specialist Trusts and Estates Practitioner (TEP) in March 2007.
Prior to joining Brethertons in early 2016, I took 6 months out of the legal industry and worked as a Compliance Manager on the Senior Management Team of a regional children’s charity.
Before that, I was a Senior Associate at a leading Northamptonshire firm. I acted as Operations Manager for the Private Client team there, developing the new case management system and dealing with all aspects of compliance for the team. I continued to draft complex Wills and administer high value Estates and Trusts often involving vulnerable beneficiaries.
I was previously a member of the Solicitors for the Elderly East Midlands Committee.
In October 2015 I gained a Masters in Business Administration which has given me a more rounded perspective on the needs and requirements of businesses – from marketing and human resources to ethics and finance.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing badminton and going to the theatre. I am also a qualified artistic gymnastics coach.
