Brethertons Solicitors Christmas Foodbank Donations

Brethertons’ award-winning Wills, Trusts and Probate team with the help of some of our clients and staff have been supporting those in need, by running a food bank collection in our Rugby and Bicester offices to donate to the Trussell Trust.

‘The Trussell Trust’ ‘support a nationwide network of food banks to provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK. In the UK, more than 14 million people are living in poverty – including 4.5 million children. The Trussell Trust support more than 1,200 food bank centres in the UK to provide a minimum of three days’ nutritionally-balanced emergency food to people who have been referred in crisis, as well as support to help people resolve the crises they face.’

Trainee Solicitor Jules Mackenzie has led the project, encouraging staff to bring in donations. Jules has taken time out to collect these items and deliver them to the Trussell Trust in Rugby in time for Christmas.  She said “A foodbank collection is a vital project to be involved in during Christmas time. Now more than ever those in our communities who are less fortunate than us need our support and it is something we were really passionate to be involved in.”
