Brethertons Solicitors LLP are delighted to announce that it has raised a total of £3,316.95 for its charity of choice Goalball UK, which is a charity that aims to transform the lives of partially sighted people through the sport of Goalball.
Brethertons staff voted to support Goallball UK at the staff conference last year after hearing about the charity from a member of staff who holds the charity close to their heart.
Helen Reed, Head of the CSR committee said, “At our Brethertons staff conference in June 2022, one particular charity pitch from an employee won the hearts and minds of fellow Brethertonians and was therefore voted as Brethertons’ Charity of Choice – Goalball UK. Fast forward 15 months and we are proud to hold up a cheque for £3,316.95, reflecting the amount that we have fundraised for this charity. Hard work, dedication and commitment went in from the CSR Committee to develop a calendar of events with fundraising for Goalball at the centre of this. The purpose of the CSR committee is to bring everyone together to achieve a common goal - the last 15 months have seen bake sales, Wolf runs, Christmas raffles, raffle square boards, Easter quizzes and much more. This is a huge amount which will go a long way in helping Goalball to continue to provide opportunities for those with a visual impairment to experience the challenge and joy of a team-based sport and developing this further. ”
