Partner and Head of Family Law, Rugby
I am an Associate Solicitor specialising in housing and leasehold management and residential property litigation. I have acted for a wide range of private landlords, managing agents, leaseholders, local authorities and housing associations across the country.
My experience includes:
I have practiced in this field for over 11 years, working for several national law firms, giving me a wealth of experience in residential property management and litigation. My most noted case to date was successfully defending the local authority in the High Court case of Onwuama v. London Borough of Ealing EWHC 1704 (QB). The case affirmed that where a tenant had failed to establish the cause of dampness to the property at trial, she could not then re-litigate the same matter after subsequently obtaining favourable expert evidence which showed the findings of the judge in the first instance may have been wrong.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am an active committee member of my local preschool and I am currently teaching myself to speak Spanish.
