Partner and Head of Family Law, Rugby
I joined Brethertons as a Legal Assistant in the Wills Trust and Probate team in July 2020, straight after finishing my Law Degree. I have recently become a Paralegal in the team, and now my main role involves supporting the Solicitors, Associates and Partners with anything involving Wills, Probate and Estate Administration, Court of Protection work such as Deputyships and Lasting Powers of Attorney, and the Administration of Trusts.
I have a degree in Law from Bournemouth University, and I am embarking on my Legal Practice Course, part-time alongside a Masters in Law, in order to become a qualified Trusts Solicitor in the future. I took an interest in the law of personal tax while at university, and this awareness helps a lot when dealing with the Trust work in my day-to-day activities. One reason I love my job is because I am able to help and reassure clients at a time which is most uncertain for them, and by being available to answer any questions during the process, clients often feel more in the loop than they sometimes can do with other solicitors’ firms.
Outside of work, I really enjoy keeping fit and healthy by running, catching up with friends over yummy food and baking for my family.
