We care passionately about every customer we help
Partner and Head of Family Law, Rugby
I am a paralegal in the Child Law team at Brethertons.
As a paralegal within the team, I support all our lawyers with the work we do predominantly in representing parents in care proceedings. I have experience of cases involving complex medical issues, non-accidental injury cases and drug/alcohol issues. I also have a broad knowledge of legal aid.
Our customers who are involved in care proceedings and who have social services involvement with their children, can find things stressful and I am able to provide that extra level of support to them to ensure they have a safety net around them, and of course support our lawyers who are representing them in the case.
I have over 5 years experience within the field of Family Law, working my way up from a legal secretary to a paralegal over those years. I have found this area of law very interesting due to my interest in the science that goes with the types of cases mentioned above.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, reading and the theatre. I also enjoy visiting historical sites/places and spending time with my family in Yorkshire.
