Partner and Head of Family Law, Rugby
I am an Associate in the Family Team based in Banbury. I qualified in 2001 and have a degree in Law and Sociology from the University of Warwick.
I specialise in public child law which deals with cases where there is intervention with family life by a Local Authority. I was previously employed as a Local Authority solicitor within a child protection team for over 12 years before joining Brethertons in September 2014. This role gave me the privilege of seeing matters from different points of view and allows me to provide a fresh perspective on many cases.
I now work primarily for parents and I aim at all times to provide an excellent service and to show objectivity and compassion in what is a fast moving and complex area of family law. I understand that this area of law can be extremely difficult and stressful for families. I aim to make the process as straightforward as possible for my customers and ensure that they feel confident that their voices will be heard within proceedings.
I am married with three children and outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and friends.
