Partner and Head of Family Law, Rugby
I am a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution Team at Brethertons LLP based in the Rugby Office.
I have over 20 years’ experience as a litigation Solicitor having previously specialised in Personal Injury and high profile, complex Clinical Negligence work, for the West Midland Regional Health Authority having taken cases to the Court of Appeal.
I then gained vast knowledge in general civil litigation, employment, and Property litigation as a Partner in a high Street Practice with a large focus on client relationships and satisfaction.
As a senior member of the dispute resolution team, I now advise on General Litigation and Property matters which includes boundary disputes, Assured Shorthold Tenancy Notices, rent arrears, possession proceedings and contractual and covenant breaches.
I am a keen advocate for early constructive resolution of claims, Court should be seen as the forum of last resort, when discussion and negotiation has failed.
I qualified as a Solicitor in 1992 having obtained a Law Degree LLP at Wolverhampton University and attended the Solicitors Final Course at Guildford Law College. I trained at a high Street practice in Birmingham where I gained experience and knowledge in the specialist areas of Family, Conveyancing and Litigation I am also an Accredited Mediator.
I enjoy reading, singing in a Community Choir and attending the gym. I walk my border terrier every day which is quite challenging as she dislikes most other dogs, being a rescue dog.
