We care passionately about every customer we help
Partner and Head of Family Law, Rugby
I am a Senior Associate Solicitor within the Serious Injuries team and undertake all aspects of Personal Injury Law with a particular specialism in serious injuries including spinal and brain injury cases.
I qualified as a Solicitor in 1992 and since before I qualified have always specialised in claimant personal injury law, acting on behalf of those who have been injured at work or in road traffic accidents.
Prior to joining Brethertons earlier this year, I worked for a large national firm for over 20 years, and for the last 15 years in a specialist Serious Injuries Unit. During this time I successfully represented many injured customers who had suffered catastrophic and life changing injuries. I have also acted for customers in respect of fatal accident claims.
I am an APIL accredited Senior Litigator and have an excellent track record of successfully pursuing difficult cases on behalf of customers. Many of my cases have settled or succeeded at trial for sums in excess of a million pounds.
When acting for customers with serious injuries I ensure that I fully understand the nature of their injuries, their treatment, including what rehabilitation may be available and the adjustments and adaptions which they and their family will need.
I’m passionate about helping our customers to access the compensation they deserve and am really proud that I can make a real difference to their quality of life after a life changing injury.
I studied Law at University and went on to complete the Law Society Finals Course at the College of Law Guildford in 1990. I undertook a training contract with a large regional firm in Southampton, qualifying as a Solicitor in 1992. I then worked for 2 regional practices within the East Midlands before joining a national specialist personal injury law firm in 1996.
In my spare time I enjoy walking in the Derbyshire Peak District as well as making and decorating cakes and reading. I also spend a lot of my free time managing the busy social calendar of two teenage sons and acting as a taxi service for them.
