#PictureBicester Photography Competiton

With the approaching launch of our new Bicester office in Franklins House, we have launched our #PictureBicester competition!  Just send us your images of how you #PictureBicester and you could win an iPad Mini along with your photograph hanging in our new central office!

All you have to do to enter is take a photograph that represents Bicester to you and email it to photographycompetition@brethertons.co.uk the photo must be a high quality jpg to ensure it's large enough to be printed!

RULES

PLEASE READ THESE RULES BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR ENTRY INTO THE BRETHERTONS BICESTER PHOTO COMPETITION

Promoter: Brethertons LLP whose registered office is at Strathmore House, Waterperry Court, Banbury, OX16 4QD (please do not send entries to this address).
Please retain a copy of these rules for your reference.

1. To enter

On or After 29 February 2016 (‘the Start Date’), the completed entry form must be submitted along with a digital photograph. Entries must be submitted no later than 22 April 2016 at 12:00 midnight. By submitting your entry to photographycompetition@brethertons.co.uk entrants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these rules. Entries through agents or third parties will be invalid.

No purchase of Brethertons LLP’s services is necessary to enter the Competition.

2. Winners announcement

The  entries that the judges decide are the best and the winners of the three prizes will be announced at the opening of the Promoter offices at Franklins House, Manorsfield Road, Bicester OX26 6EX and the winners will be notified personally as soon as practicable either before or after this event.

3. Eligibility

There is no age limit for entering. 

There is no limit as to the amount of entries or photos a person may submit.

The competition is open to all United Kingdom residents as at the Start Date.  Entries received from employees of the Promoter or any marketing services agency, handling house or other company involved directly with the administration of this competition, or any member of their households will not be eligible to be awarded any of the. prizes but may still enter

4. Validity

To be valid, an entry must contain a digital photograph of the Bicester Town area which falls within, but is not limited to, the following categories:- Buildings; Landscapes; People,  Life in the town and Miscellaneous. 

Photographs submitted must be your own work, must not be copied, must not contain any third-party materials and/or content that you do not have permission to use and must not otherwise be obscene, defamatory or in breach of any applicable legislation or regulations. By submitting a photograph the Entrant affirms that it is the owner of the photograph, the copyright or the associated intellectual property rights in the photograph. If the Promoter has reason to believe your entry is not your own work or otherwise breaches this rule, your photos will NOT be considered. Responsibility cannot be accepted for photographs lost, damaged, corrupted or delayed following submission with the entry form. Correspondence will be entered into only at the absolute discretion of the Promoter.

The photograph submitted must be at least 300 dpi and at least 5Mb in size.

5. To win

The winning entries will be those which in the judges’ opinion are deemed the most impressive. The panel of judges will contain at least one independent member. Its decision will be final.

6. The prize

•    The first prize is an iPad Mini
•    The second prize is £100 Vouchers 
•    The third prize is £50 Vouchers 

The Promoter may in its absolute discretion substitute cash value for any of the above prizes or offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.

As well as the above any additional entries that the judges decide are the best may have the opportunity to have their photographs displayed in the Promoter’s offices at Franklins House, Manorsfield Road, Bicester OX26 6EX.

The prize may not be sold or transferred to any other person or persons. The prizes cannot be exchanged or transferred by you and cannot be redeemed by you for cash or any other prize.

7. Winner publicity

Entrants agree that, if they win, the Promoter will have the right, without additional payment or permission, to use their name, age, town of residence and likeness for the purposes of announcing the winner of this competition and for related promotional purposes.

By submitting material, you grant the Promoter:

(a)  permission for your entry to be used by the Promoter and the Bicester Advertiser in promotional activity including but not limited to advertising, exhibitions including print and online, used for marketing purposes and websites and social media should they be selected to promote the competition. 

(b)  a non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual licence (with a right to sub-license) to use, republish, edit and/or modify your Competition entry (including any text supplied with the image) in any/all media (including in electronic format, hard copy and in the Promoter’s publications) for the purposes connected with the Competition and as described in these Rules.

You also hereby waive all your moral rights in your entry. Notwithstanding the above waiver of, in order to use entries as intended and advised in these Rules, (i) The Promoter may need to modify entries, including but not limited to resizing, cropping or colour adjustment as necessary, provided that the Promoter shall endeavour in undertaking such modifications to maintain the integrity of your entry as originally created; and (ii) The Promoter shall provide a picture credit for all entries.

8. Entries

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for difficulties experienced by all and any potential entrants in submitting an entry to this competition, or the views or comments made by any person on entries submitted.

The Promoter holds no responsibility is taken for lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete entries. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt.

9. Winning entry details

The name of the winner and the winning entry will be sent to anyone who writes within 3 months after the closing date, enclosing a stamped addressed envelope to Brethertons, Strathmore House, Waterperry Court, Banbury, OX16 4QD, requesting details of the winning entry.

10. Data privacy

The Promoter would like to keep entrants informed of the Promoter’s similar products and services by email, post and/or telephone. Please write to us at Brethertons, Strathmore House, Waterperry Court, Banbury, OX16 4QD if you specifically do not want to receive this information by email or email marketing@brethertons.co.uk.

11. Force Majeure

The Promoter reserves the right to amend any aspect of or withdraw the competition in the event of any unforeseen circumstances outside their reasonable control.

12. Legislation and Jurisdiction

These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any dispute in relation to them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

13. Liability

The entrant shall indemnify the Promoter against all liabilities, costs, expenses, damages and losses (including any direct, indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of reputation and all interest, penalties and legal costs (calculated on a full indemnity basis) and all other reasonable professional costs and expenses) suffered or incurred by the Promoter arising out of or in connection with any claim for breach of copyright made by a third party.
