Partner and Head of Family Law, Rugby
From the tender age of 16, I knew I wanted to become a lawyer. After completing my Legal Practice Course at Birmingham’s College of Law, I began my career at Brethertons in 2009 as a paralegal. During my time as a paralegal I graduated from my course at the University of Warwick: Masters in International Economic Law.
I completed my Training Contract and was admitted to the roll as a Solicitor in May 2012 and became an Associate Solicitor in April 2014. I have recently been appointed as the Knowledge Management Chair and this is proving to be an exciting and challenging new role for me, it provides me with the ability to influence the culture at our firm and assist in the management of the wide ranging intellectual capital that exists amongst my talented colleagues.
I qualified within the Residential Leasehold department. I specialise in landlord and tenant disputes, property litigation, breaches of lease, lease extensions, enfranchisement claims, right to manage claims, the granting of new leases, deeds of variations, licences for alterations and licences to assign. Generally, if you have a leasehold query, then get in touch! I would be happy to assist.
On a personal note, I enjoy going to music concerts, art exhibitions and painting. I am also a keen traveller and have been lucky enough to travel around Europe, India and Australia. Finally, I love food, Italian cuisine being my favourite (having recently enjoyed a trip to Lake Como) and definitely the way to keep me fuelled!
