As a member of the Management Team, I am responsible for the delivery of Brethertons' strategies and for managing business change, IT, systems development, facilities, risk management, compliance and customer complaints.
With over 20 years’ experience of working in both the public and private sectors, my most recent positions have been in a similar field in professional services, delivering efficient and effective operations, building commercial growth and driving sustainable business development initiatives.
I am passionate about using innovation and creativity to think across sectors, job titles and operational boundaries, bringing people together to generate ideas and solutions. I’m a true believer that organisational values and a positive culture drive the people that drive a customer-obsessed business.
Data, information and knowledge drive effective operations. You have to record it to measure it, to develop business intelligence that supports effective decision-making, positive changes and improved services. I believe in transformation through IT: ensuring that IT, systems development and programmes of continuous improvement sit at the heart of the business, not on the periphery. They are integral to customer care.
Most importantly, I believe in having a sense of humour and laughter in the workplace!
Away from the office, I enjoy being in the garden and growing my own vegetables and fruit. Linked to that is cooking – I love experimenting with new recipes and ingredients and feeding people! A bit of a DIY fan, I enjoy solving problems and fixing things that are broken or damaged, even though I may not always have the appropriate skills!
