We care passionately about every customer we help
Partner and Head of Family Law, Rugby
As a Solicitor, my role includes advising commercial customers on property issues such as Landlord and Tenant and new leases.
I have been with the firm since October 2011 where I began within the Property Management Department which culminated in my role as a Debt Recovery Manager before moving into the Litigation Team in July 2013. I then began my seat in Residential Leasehold in November 2015.
I completed my Law (LLB [Hons] [Open]) in December 2011. Following this, I went on to complete my Legal Practice Course in July 2014 at the University of Law in Birmingham.
Outside of work, I am getting used to not studying so I tend to busy myself by travelling to Germany and Portugal. When not globe trotting, I am quite a social butterfly but do like to spend time with my animals at home. I still like to practice my pink tenor saxophone, the piano, flute and guitar, especially if it involves playing at a local Beer Festival!
One of the matters I have been involved in has the Case Analysis on West Law - Taylor-Carr v Howkins & Harrison LLP. The firm was instructed to pursue a Defendant in France, obtain a Judgment there and register it here. One of the Defendants appealed to set aside the Judgment on the basis of a technicality, being ineffective service. I assisting in the solid legal research of both English and French Civil Procedure, an in-depth analysis of European and Domestic Caselaw and drafted the Witness Statement. Mrs. Justice Slade at the Appeal found that the Defendant had been served with the Judgment and that the Judgment would not be set aside.
