BBNC October Breakfast - Big Data, what does it mean for you?

Join us for breakfast at the Banbury Business Networking Club on Tuesday 11 October where we will be joined by Simon Livings of KPMG.

The phrase ‘Big Data’ has been around for a number of years now, but organisations are still struggling to understand what it really means and the relevance to them.  The focus at the moment is around Technology and Digital (being the mechanism by which organisations interact with customers) but underpinning both of these is Data. The challenge facing everybody today is How to gain meaningful insights from the increased data being collected from improved technology and digital interactions

This is a challenge that faces organisations of any size and shape, covers any sector, and affects all areas of the organisation in one way or another.  The answers lie in better management information, better analysis of the data, and finding ways to employ data within the business to uncover its true value for the business.

This talk by Simon Livings from KPMG explores these issues in more detail, and outlines the strategies and approaches that organisations take for dealing with the challenge and the outcomes they reach.  Simon leads KPMG’s Data & Analytics practice for UK regions, and has over 15 years’ experience in helping organisations do more with their data.  Simon has experience of working with organisations of any size (from Entrepreneurs to FTSE-20 blue-chips) and from any sector (including the public and third sectors).  Simon will be providing some practical examples based upon projects his team delivers to clients, and sharing some lessons learned from helping organisations to become more analytical as they gain more value from their data.
