Brethertons voted one of the best companies to work for in Thames Valley

  • Posted

Brethertons is celebrating after being named as one of the Thames Valley region’s best employers by judges of the 20th annual Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards.

Sponsored by Hays Recruitment, the judges of the award will be looking for evidence of creative working styles, an innovative working environment, wide-ranging staff facilities, strong environmental policies and an open, inclusive work culture. The Best Company to Work For Award is open to all businesses across the region and Brethertons is up against stiff competition with BDO Accountants, HMT Accountants and Ridgeway Group also being shortlisted in the Professional and Large Business category.

Partner and Head of HR, Deborah Atkins, says, “Being shortlisted for this high profile award demonstrates the firm’s commitment to its staff and making Brethertons a fabulous place to work! We strongly believe an encouraging and supportive working environment motivates our people to deliver their best for clients. Being described as one of the best employers in the whole Thames Valley region is a great accolade and really complements our Investors in People – Gold accreditation, which we achieved in 2012, and are one of only 700 businesses in the country to have done so since it was introduced.”

The winners of all awards will be announced by broadcaster, Fiona Bruce, at a glittering gala dinner on 20 November at Reading’s Madejski Stadium, where the special guest speaker is Nick Hewer, host of Countdown and Lord Sugar’s advisor on BBC’s The Apprentice show. Brethertons will be represented at the ceremony by Deborah Atkins and the firm’s HR Team.
