High profile, leading legal services provider, Brethertons, is delighted to announce that the firm has won the prestigious ‘Credit Excellence Award in the Legal and Enforcement Profession’ at the recent CCR Credit Excellence Awards 2014.

Now in their fifth year, the Credit Excellence Awards bring together the brightest and best in the industry. The Awards have been extremely competitive this year as applicants competed to win one of only eight awards.

The judging criteria spanned topics including exceptional client service, demonstrable professional excellence, and industry innovation, partnerships and leadership that impacts the wider credit and collections industry. Winning the award demonstrates that Brethertons is at the pinnacle of its profession, influencing the sector through its involvement with the Civil Court Users Association and working alongside clients’ to really understand their business and exceed their expectations.

The Credit Excellence Awards, held at a gala dinner on 7 October 2014 at the Guoman Tower Hotel in London, were judged by a panel of independent industry experts and entries are encouraged from all organisations operating in the credit control sector. Brethertons was judged alongside individual credit professionals, teams, consumer and commercial creditors and suppliers to the industry, and fought off stiff competition from finalists Ascent Performance Group and the Debt Management and Banking Enforcement and Insolvency Service at HM Revenue & Customs to scoop the ‘Legal and Enforcement Profession’ trophy.

Shaun Jardine, Brethertons’ CEO and Commercial Litigation specialist, was elated to win the award, “I’m just thrilled for my team, they work so hard to achieve the very best results for our clients. The team’s success is based not only on diverse skillsets, experience and professionalism, but also on its dedicated, open and accessible approach to its clients. Winning this award is testament to their outstanding commitment and client service.”

Brethertons’ Debt Recovery Team specialises in debt and asset recovery both nationally and internationally, and the firm’s niche Property Management Team offers a bespoke collections product for service charge and ground rent arrears specific to the leasehold property sector. Completing the package is a dedicated team focussing solely on debt recovery matters which have become complex or challenged by the debtor.

The firm has also been shortlisted for the ‘Legal Recovery Firm of the Year’ award at the Debt Collection Awards 2014. The winners will be announced at the gala dinner on 20 November 2014 at the Midland Hotel in Manchester.
