Brethertons announces details of Property Management Summit 2015

  • Posted

The Property Management Summit is a weekend conference that takes the form of a collaborative workshop, aimed at property managers and Directors who wish to refresh their technical expertise and add to their CPD hours. There is a vibrant social scene and the networking opportunities are a key element of the weekend’s success.

Following last year’s look into the future of the property management sector, this year the theme is ‘All change’ and the conference will focus on news and insights into the changing landscape of the here and now.

The conference also provides a chance for those intending to sit the IRPM Members exam to get to grips with the legal and financial requirements imposed on Property Managers. An element of exam technique will be covered to help reduce the “fear factor” prior to taking the exam.

Philip Marns, Service Charge Policy and Projects Manager at Hanover Housing Group says, “In my view, of the events aimed at property managers, it consistently has the best and most authoritative speakers on both immediate practical and more strategic issues. I would definitely recommend the conference to anyone in the sector.”

Held over the weekend of Friday 20 to Sunday 22 March 2015, the venue is once again the purpose-built Conference Centre at the University of Warwick in Coventry. The conference sessions will be delivered by a panel of key industry figures and include elements of general industry interest as well as technical insights and opinions on hot topics, such as ‘Change Management in Business’, ‘Using Social Media to Recruit Staff’ and ‘All Change in Building Design’ as well as old favourites including ‘Legislation update’, ‘Dealing with the First Tier Tribunal’ and ‘Service Charge Recovery’.

This year’s IRPM Member Exam saw a 84.2% overall pass rate, due in no small part to the excellent preparation and revision tips provided by speakers at the 2014 Property Management Summit. Rebecca O’Neil, a Property Manager at HML Guthrie, participated in the conference and says, “I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and felt much more content about sitting the IPRM Members exam. The relevance of subjects, content of presentations and the venue were all excellent.”

Shaun Jardine, CEO and Head of Commercial Litigation at Brethertons, says, “The feedback from the event has always been fantastic in terms of how worthwhile the delegates found the course content, the access they had to the real industry experts, the sharing of new ideas and also how much they enjoyed both the event and the venue at the University of Warwick. We’re really excited about next year’s event already!”

Delegates can choose to stay for the whole weekend in hotel-standard accommodation provided by Warwick Business School, or simply attend the conference sessions and source their own overnight stay. Details of packages available can be found on the Brethertons website at: http://breth.co/summit2015 where you can also book your place.
