Fixed Price Divorce and Financial Issues Representation

Getting divorced can be costly both financially and emotionally.

In order to take out some of the financial uncertainties that are associated with divorce, Brethertons has introduced a range of fixed price services, which enables individuals to have greater financial control when dealing with both their divorce and financial matters surrounding it.

Fixed Price Divorce – What does the service include?

We offer a fixed price for the work that we do in divorce cases - whether you are divorcing someone or someone is divorcing you. The price we charge provides a cost effective solution to divorce proceedings, as well as providing you with all the professional and emotional support that you require at this difficult time.

What is included in the Fixed Price Divorce?

Our fixed fee divorce package includes all steps from initial instructions through to Decree Absolute at the end of the divorce process.

We offer all clients who use the fixed price divorce a new Will so that the change in your personal circumstances can be accurately reflected in your Will.

Our clients are also offered a free session with a Life Coach to provide assistance and guidance in relation to non legal matters.

We also encourage our clients to attend our ‘Divorce Through The Eyes Of A Child’ workshops. These are run at our offices every month. Our workshops are an excellent opportunity for parents who are separating to understand what divorce feels and looks like to their child. By providing you with support these workshops are an ideal way to ensure that the emotional needs and difficulties of children are being well supported and handled.  You will also receive a free book which helps you support your child, if you attend our workshop.

If you would like to speak to a member of the Brethertons Family Law team, please click on the left hand link to arrange a consultation.

What is not included in the Fixed Price Divorce?

Our fixed price divorce package does not include any associated work such as financial work concerning complex assets or pensions (ancillary relief) or legal advice provided where children are involved. We do reserve the right to increase our charges if unforeseen extra work is incurred.

How do I order and pay for the Fixed Price Divorce?

The price for a person wanting to commence divorce proceedings (known as a Petitioner) is £500 + VAT and disbursements (expenses) assuming there are no unforeseen problems or complexities.

In addition to the charges outlined above, a court fee of £385 will have to be paid by the party commencing the divorce proceedings.

If you are a person who has received a divorce petition (known as a respondent) the fixed price is £100 + VAT.

Please click on the link below to register your interest with us and we will, on receipt, contact you and provide further information.
