UK Specialist in Spinal Injury Law joins Brethertons
This week sees specialist spinal injury litigation solicitor Richard Dawson join Brethertons LLP solicitors in Banbury, from his existing firm in Oxford.
Richard, will head-up and lead a new litigation team at Brethertons, which will provide legal advice to clients suffering spinal injury.
This is a niche area of law and only a handful of specialists in the UK have the depth of expertise that Richard brings to the firm, having had over 30 years experience of working in Cheshire and Oxford and has helped clients to secure compensation claims in excess of £100 million pounds.
Richard is joined at Brethertons by Sarah Dawson, legal assistant, who worked alongside him at the Oxford firm. Together, they will establish the new Brethertons spinal injuries team based in the firm’s Banbury office.
The establishment of this new team is part of a strategic plan by Brethertons to continue to grow and develop its litigation practice.
Spinal injury claims are a complex area of the law and lawyers who work in this area have to have a deep understanding of the needs and compensation rights of claimants. Richard is on the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel, is an approved member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and the Spinal Injuries Association.
Chambers and Partners Guide to the UK Legal Profession: “Spinal injuries specialist Richard Dawson has achieved significant awards for claimants in a number of recent cases. He is regarded as a client-focused lawyer, well known for his "thoroughness and attention to detail."
Sarah understands spinal injury care, aids and assessment and can work diligently with families to ensure their needs are considered and supported.
Shaun Jardine, litigation partner at Brethertons LLP said of the appointment: “I am delighted that Richard and Sarah are joining Brethertons LLP. Our firm has consistently grown our expertise in litigation over the past ten years to incorporate niche areas of litigation law. This provides our clients with highly specialised and technical expertise.”
