Mary Anderson, Partner

Shaun Jardine, Partner

Shaun is the Head of the commercial Litigation and Commercial Recoveries Department based at the Banbury office.

As a Solicitor Shaun acts for commercial clients in the main – who are involved in disputes ranging from property related matters to Directors Disqualification proceedings.

As a Commercial Mediator Shaun is called in by Solicitors and other professionals to try and assist their clients avoiding going to Court.

Shaun Jardine is recognised as ‘Leaders in their Field’ by Chambers UK as a ‘leader in Dispute Resolution: Mediators'.  Jardine takes his place in this year's table having earned praise for his ability to "provide commercial advice in an impartial manner." His mediation practice is predominantly focussed on property-related disputes, mirroring his practice as a solicitor.  He also regularly handles construction disputes.

Simon is our specialist for International Child Abduction law.  He is one of only a handful of qualified lawyers in the UK who is a member of the International Hague Convention panel and this means he is highly experienced in child abduction law and is qualified to take on this type of work. Trevor Dyer, Partner and Head of Admin

Trevor is a non-lawyer Partner and Head of Admin, although he enjoys wearing a number of other hats. He sits on the firm’s Management Board and is also our Head of Administration. He is proud to lead a dedicated team of Finance, IT, HR, and Office Services professionals.

He also plays an active role in strategic planning, client relationship development, staff consultation and risk management throughout the firm. Having spent more years working in the law than he chooses to remember, his wealth of experience is often called upon. Tom has gained experience in many different areas of commercial property work since joining Brethertons in 2002.

In particular Tom provides legal advice and assistance to clients on leasehold sales / purchases, freehold sales / purchases, landlord and tenant matters and option agreements.

 Richard Dawson

Richard Dawson, Solicitor, Catastrophic Injuries

Richard is an experienced personal injury solicitor and is a specialist of spinal injury claims. He has extensive experience of handling catastrophic injuries, spinal injury cases and has a deep understanding of the compensation needs and rights of claimants.

Richard joined Brethertons in 2010 from a leading Oxford law firm, having also worked in Cheshire. Richard is on the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel, is an approved member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and has been an approved member of the Spinal Injuries Association since 1989.

In his leisure time, Richard enjoys gardening, cricket, DIY and walking the dog.

Deborah Atkins, Partner - Human Resources 

Deborah is a non-lawyer Partner, with responsibilty for our Human Resources function. She and her team are responsible for all the recruitment of legal staff here at Brethertons. This includes solicitors, legal executives and paralegals. They also recruits once a year for our trainee solicitor programme.
