Tony Woodhouse, IT Manager

Brethertons IT Manager - Tony Woodhouse

Many are surprised to find out what a high-tech business the law is these days.  Tony endeavours to make effective use of technology to allow our lawyers to provide the best quality legal work to our clients.

Case management systems allow our legal teams to efficiently manage your legal case, pushing matters through more quickly by working as proactively as possible.  Back-office technologies such as digital dictation and document management are aimed at improving efficiency allowing us to provide the best advice at competitive prices.

This year is an exciting time for us in the I.T. department as we seek to introduce new web-based technologies that will bring us closer than ever to our clients and allow us to offer new, more flexible ways of interacting with us.

Unusually for a member of Tony's profession, he holds a law degree which gives him a real edge in understanding the needs of the legal teams, and how technology can assist them.  Tony sits on the managing committee of the ACUA, which is as association of legal I.T. Managers and has chaired the Case Management sub-group of this organisation for over five years.  Tony has lectured at several conferences and seminars on legal I.T. topics such as case management, the millennium bug (remember that?) and email management.

Out of work, Tony's passions are motorcycling, the sciences and his family.  He attained a RoSPA Gold Advanced riding qualification which is the highest available civilian riding award. He intends to qualify as an advanced riding instructor and hopefully do his bit to reduce the toll of accidents and injuries on the roads by promoting better riding skills.
