Emma is the Wills, Trust and Probate Trust Administrator and secretarial support to the department in Banbury.
Emma looks after the day to day running of the trust files, preparing annual tax returns where applicable and drafting annual accounts for the trusts. She is also involved with Trustees meetings and making plans for the trusts.
As the client’s first point of contact for the department in Banbury, Emma handles new enquiries and arranges appointments; outlining our likely costs and timescales and, in some cases, taking basic instructions to save time at the client’s first appointment.
Emma has been a legal secretary for almost 23 years and has worked in all areas of law to include criminal, debt collection, family and civil litigation and has now found her niche in WTP. She was presented with the Wills and Probate Certificate for Secretaries in June 2005.
Emma was lucky enough to undertake her secondary schooling in Singapore where she lived for 5 years from the age of 13. Her time in Singapore broadened her mind at a young age and helped her to appreciate and understand the multicultural society we have in the UK today. Emma is engaged to Tony and they are planning a winter wedding in 2009. Tel: (01295) 661 440Email: emmablackman@brethertons.co.uk
