Carly McPhillips, Client Liaison Officer

As client Liaison Officer, Carly's role is to ensure that all our clients receive the highest standard of service and client care possible. Carly is the first point of contact for the Wills, Trust and Probate team in Rugby, handling initial enquiries and arranging appointments, dealing with queries and assisting the solicitors.

Carly is definitely a people person and enjoys the client contact and skills required for assisting a range of individuals; from business owners and entrepreneurs to our ever growing elderly population of clients.

Carly believes that working for Brethertons offers challenges, but is uniquely satisfying. She understands that, as part of a busy team, it requires focussed effort to ensure that we are constantly on hand to deal with the continual flood of enquiries received from those in need of practical legal advice, where sensitivity and care are assured.  As each enquiry is invariably different in character and content, she considers it essential that she is able to judge the client’s mood, where her reaction and response are made at just the right pitch.

Much of Carly’s role involves dealing with clients during bereavement, and she has carefully undertaken bereavement training to help her to respectfully understand the various emotional responses symptomatic of those who have lost someone close to them. Carly understands that anger, fear and unhappiness are just part of the client’s journey, and that they must take advice before time helps to heal. In the interim, she is here to make sure the practical side of things can be handled, and that any worry and stress caused by administrative needs are no longer a burden.  She works to ensure that clients focus on getting back on their feet, while confidently leaving everything to the Brethertons team.

Carly joined Brethertons in 2006 as part of our plan to set ourselves apart from all the other law firms in the area and enhance our service delivery, her role as Client Liaison Officer is unique to Brethertons and the Wills, Trust and Probate department.

The firm has a strong focus on looking after our clients and Carly's work encompasses our aim to give exceptional customer service and to go the extra mile for everyone who walks through our doors. To complement this she studied and has been awarded the Level 3 NVQ in Customer Service. More recently Carly has also qualified as a Wills and Probate Paralegal after studying hard for many months!

Carly is a passionate Thespian, she loves treading the boards at the local theatre, performing in countless musical theatre productions and plays.

If performing wasn’t enough she loves playing sport, particularly netball where she is the team captain. Carly also supports Leicester Tigers and Manchester United, and watches them as often as possible.
