Spinal Injury

A spinal injury is a life-changing event, whatever the level or degree of injury, and can occur as a result of a road traffic accident, sporting activities, slips and falls, accidents at work or violence. We have great experience in acting for people who have suffered low level thoracic injuries as well as high level cervical injuries requiring ventilation.

The law that covers litigation claims for catastrophic injuries is extremely specialised and only a small number of dedicated lawyers in the UK are experts in this particular field. Brethertons works alongside the Consultants and their teams at Spinal Injury Centres throughout the country.  The medical expertise, together with a highly specialised team of experts relating to care, aids and equipment, technology, accommodation, and physiotherapy, assist us in obtaining the maximum compensation of damages for our clients in the shortest possible time. Brethertons' catastrophic injury team can guide and support you and your family through all stages of a legal claim.

If you, or someone you know, has suffered a spinal cord injury then please do get in touch at the earliest opportunity. Our expertise and advice shortly after an accident could help to make a real difference to your claim, through the collection of essential information at an early stage.

Richard Dawson at Brethertons LLP leads our team.  He has vast experience in handling all types of spinal injury claims and only acts for the injured person.  Richard has been an approved solicitor for the Spinal Injuries Association since 1989 and has, during this period, helped to secure over £100million in compensation claims for his many UK clients. An early interim payment of compensation is essential to pay for immediate needs before the legal claim is finalised.
