Brian Auld, Company Commercial Partner

Brian is Partner and Head of Company Commercial.  Brian advises clients on all commercial matters including the formation of resident management companies, advising on directors responsibilities and obligations, director disputes and shareholder disputes.  Brian is also able to advise on compliance formalities required by Companies House and founded the Brethertons Company Secretarial Service, B-SEC which is ideally suited to directors of Residents Management Companies who may not necessarily be aware of all the duties and obligations that Directors have placed upon them.

Michael Dibben, Residential Property Partner

Michael is Partner and Head of Conveyancing.  Michael’s general property practice includes the sale and purchase of leasehold and freehold flats and houses as well as dealing with plot sales and transfers.  Michael also has extensive experience in dealing with Enquiries made of Managing Agents, Leasehold Information Packs and attending to the transfer of shares / membership in Resident Management Companies.  Michael is also able to advise on technical leasehold titles and covenants.

Shaun Jardine, Partner

Shaun represents both landlord and leaseholder clients in all aspect of property law, ranging from a dispute regarding service charges, enforcing a breach of lease covenant to directors disqualification.  Shaun is also an accredited commercial mediator and member of the Civil Mediation Council and if often called upon by other professionals to try to settle disputes.

Shaun has founded Brethertons Property Mediation Zone which is an online mediation facility which aims to resolve disputes quickly and efficiently.  The Mediation Zone lends itself to a vast array of disputes including, management disputes, reasonableness of service charge, dilapidations, boundary disputes and breach of leasehold covenants.

Shaun Jardine is recognised as ‘Leaders in their Field’ by Chambers UK as a ‘leader in Dispute Resolution: Mediators'.  Jardine takes his place in this year's table having earned praise for his ability to "provide commercial advice in an impartial manner." His mediation practice is predominantly focussed on property-related disputes, mirroring his practice as a solicitor.  He also regularly handles construction disputes.

Sioban Calcott, Legal Executive

Sioban is Head of the Litigation Department in Banbury and has over 20 years experience.  Sioban undertakes a wide variety of litigation including service charge disputes in the County Court and Leasehold Valuation Tribunal, possession proceedings, boundary disputes, enforcing leasehold covenants, forfeiture, debt recovery and other commercial and residential litigation.

Sioban Calcott is recognised as ‘Leaders in their Field’ by Chambers UK 2011 as a 'leader in Dispute Resolution'  "thorough and hard-working" Sioban Calcott earns praise for her "conscientious and sensible" approach to litigation.  She concentrates on commercial contract and property disputes.
