Sarah Butt, Agriculture Team Assitant

Sarah is a new addition to the Agriculture Team, having been a member of the Private Client Team since June 2005. Having qualified as a Solicitor in 2000 and completed the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates with distinction in December 2009, Sarah has a wealth of experience in Wills Trusts and Probate, particularly tax planning and trusts.  Sarah decided to take a step back from her role as Solicitor to focus on her young family, and was delighted to be given the opportunity to join and support the agriculture team.

The opportunity to assist the Agriculture Team and learn more about their work, much of which has a degree of overlap with her previous role advising on tax planning and trusts for farming families, has provided Sarah with a flexible solution allowing her to enjoy a successful work life balance within this specialist and fast growing team.

Sarah’s new role includes providing administrative and secretarial support to the team and undertaking paralegal work including preparation of documents, Land Registry applications and searches, being a point of contact for clients and generally supporting the team.

Sarah continues to provide technical support to the team in relation to Wills Trusts and Probate.

Sarah sings with several local choirs and operatic groups, performing recently in Rugby Theatre.  Sarah’s husband is a Head of Faculty at a Coventry secondary school and her two children are at primary school and pre-school in Rugby.  Having discovered a mutual love of camping last summer they are all hoping for fine weather in 2010 and spending at least some of the summer outdoors!
