Down on the Farm with Banbury Businesses

Brethertons solicitors are holding their monthly Banbury Business Breakfast Club at Alkerton Oaks Business Park, part of the Upton House Estate on Tuesday 17th May. The event will highlight the work that goes on “down on the farm”.

Over the last 19 years or so, members of the Banbury Business Breakfast Club have consumed thousands of sausages, eggs, tonnes of bacon and toast. This special meeting will focus on the processes that go into making our breakfasts. Speakers on the day will be Rob Allan, manager of the Estate, and Marek Nowakowski, who runs the Wildlife Farming Company. Rob will give a brief presentation on the Estate and the various work that goes on, down on the farm. Marek will give a talk on food, farming and wildlife and how farms such as Upton Estate can find an effective balance between profitable agriculture and increased wildlife delivery. Shaun Jardine, founder of the Breakfast Club and Litigation Partner at Brethertons says, “We are very pleased to be holding the breakfast club on the Estate. It gives our members the chance to network in a unique environment, and we hope to gain an insight into an industry that tends to be taken for granted.”
