We give all trainees a personal mentor. Your mentor will usually be a newly qualified solicitor who has just come through the training process themselves and so knows of the problems and concerns that a new trainee faces. The idea is that you can turn to your mentor with basic queries, problems or just to chat. In addition to a mentor, you will also be allocated a Training Principal for more involved queries or concerns who is responsible for the Trainee’s training and development.
Our training contracts ensure that we develop confident, knowledgeable and well prepared newly-qualified solicitors. For this reason we like to keep our trainees after the completion of their training and integrate them within a specialist department within the firm. We try not to take on too many trainees, where we do not believe a role exists for them after their contracts end. We like to grow our trainees into useful and dynamic individuals.
