Services For Landlords

We can assist Landlords who are Respondents to Applications for Lease Extensions and Enfranchisement Claims.  Our approach is to closely scrutinising all notices to establish validity and ensuring the Landlord receives the maximum compensation. 

If the notice is invalid, Brethertons can assist Landlord is serving a Counter Notice denying the tenants are entitled to the claim thereby retaining the value in the portfolio until another Notice is served.

Once the Initial Notices of Claim are served, the tenants become liable for the Landlords costs of dealing with the Claim, save for any Leasehold Valuation Tribunal costs.  Our Leasehold Enfranchisement Team can also assist Landlord in obtaining statutory deposits wherever possible. 

Our Leasehold Enfranchisement Team can also assist Landlords who have had their Service Charges and/or Insurance challenged or Landlord where Tenants have referred the dispute to the LVT. 

We can also assist Landlords who have let premises on an Assured Tenancy to evaluate whether there are any grounds for you to obtain possession of the premises.
