Brian Auld was admitted as a solicitor in 1983 and is the partner in charge of the Banbury Company Commercial Department. Brian has previously worked for the European Commission and as an in house Lawyer for Toshiba, Racal and Nortel. His experience covers sale/purchase of businesses and commercial contracts (including IT, copyright, trademark and other licences). Brian enjoys helping clients run and manage their businesses and advising them on the steps necessary to realise their business assets (ie exit strategies) or to acquire new business assets (ie buying other businesses).Most of Brian's time is spent in guiding clients through the process of the sale and purchase of businesses. Helping to coordinate the internal and external advice needed to deliver deals. The work is demanding, complex and but Brian finds this very satisfying.Having done commercial work for over 20 years Brian's range of skills and experience are extensive. Brian is a member of The Management Team of the firm which consists of over 150 employees operating in two towns and out of five offices.
Brian was a director of a local Enterprise Agency for a number of years and a governor of a local Primary School. He has been invited to become a Trustee of our largest local Secondary School (Oxfordshire’s first Trust School).Brian has always and continues to enjoy being a lawyer and delivering solutions to clients. He also enjoys being part of developing the business success of our firm.
Sport has always been Brian's passion (participation rather than spectating) and has been lucky enough to have participated (not competed) in three of the biggest road races in the world (Great North Run, London Marathon and Great South Run). Brian also enjoys swimming and cycling.
