The Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002 (‘2002 Act’) affects the rights and responsibilities of Leaseholders in England and Wales.  The Act gained Royal Assent on 1st May 2002.  Part 2 of the Act makes key changes to the existing leasehold legislation in England and Wales.  
The rights now open to Leaseholders in England and Wales are wide and varied. Landlords and Property Managers alike should also be aware of these.
