Mediation

Pursuing a matter to trial is not always in your best interests; it costs time and money. We appreciate that you have far better things to do with your money than spend it on lawyer's fees.

“Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbours to compromise whenever you can. As a peacemaker the lawyer has superior opportunity of being a good man. There will still be business enough”.
Abraham Lincoln

The Same...

The Difference...

Mediation is a voluntary and confidential process for resolving disputes in which an unbiased third person (the Mediator) helps people in dispute to find a mutually acceptable resolution without going to Court.

Mediation is a non-adversarial procedure at which a neutral, trained professional assists the parties in reaching a settlement of a dispute or difference. It is quite simply a process of finding a solution that the parties can live with.

At Brethertons we have five trained and accredited mediators, all of whom are committed to trying to resolve disputes without the need to go to court.

In addition to undertaking lectures on mediation at conferences across the UK, Brethertons' Mediators are members of a range of recognised Mediation organisations, including:
