Brethertons Recognised as ‘Leaders in their Field’

Brethertons has enhanced its credentials as a leading law firm according to the independent legal ‘bible’ Chambers UK 2011.  Five senior experts were recognised as ‘Leaders in their Field’ by Chambers UK, the UK’s leading legal research directory.

The Chambers Guide, widely regarded as the most authoritative guide to the legal profession in the UK, is compiled after detailed research over a six month period including thousands of telephone and face-to-face meetings with clients and other of law firms.  It ranks law firms and lawyers in 70 legal specialist areas, rankings are based on technical legal ability, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment and the other qualities that are most valued by clients.

Among those recognised, the following have been singled out as leaders in their fields: Sioban Calcott for her work within the field of Litigation, Edward Bible for his specialist expertise in Insolvency, Shaun Jardine for his expert mediation work, Mary Anderson for her in-depth experience in commercial property and commercial secured lending and Simon Craddock in the specialist Child Abduction area.

Richard Pell Senior Partner at Brethertons explains: “These latest rankings are a tribute to the outstanding commitment our lawyers have shown to their specialist areas over the last year and recognition of the significant investment we have made in many areas of the business.  To be recognised as a leading force in the highly competitive market we operate is a great achievement - especially by Chambers UK, the publication has a strong reputation and is known to be one of the best independent assessments of the legal sector.”
