Brethertons Achieves Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme Accreditation

Brethertons LLP is delighted to announce that it has achieved accreditation with the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS), the quality mark for residential property lawyers introduced earlier this year.

Michael Dibben, Partner and Head of Conveyancing at Brethertons said: “This is an exceptional achievement for our conveyancing team.  This award is recognition of our commitment and investment to ensure exceptional levels of client care, staff training and procedural standards.”

The CQS scheme requires practices to undergo a strict assessment including compulsory training, self reporting, random audits and annual reviews in order to maintain CQS status. It is open only to members of the Law Society and to those who meet the demanding standards the scheme will set and has the support of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, Land Registry, the Building Societies Association, Legal Ombudsman and the Association of British Insurers.

Dibben continued: “This mark of excellence ensures that home buyers can quickly recognise that Brethertons meets the required standards of the Law Society for conveyancing.” He added: ”Not all solicitors meet these stringent requirements and everyone looking to buy or sell a property should first check that their chosen practice is CQS accredited before delivering instructions.”

This achievement adds to Brethertons’ Lexcel Practice Management accreditation received in August 2010.
