Thank you for participating in our competition, which will see one lucky client and their guest win a trip for two to Krakow in Poland. You may ask why we have chosen this city in which to offer a weekend break. Brethertons was founded 200 years ago and we have traced our early origins back to our founder, Count William Ferdinand Wratislaw.

Count Wratislaw’s lineage can be traced all the way back to Krok the Munificent (born 614AD) who founded the city of Krakow. 200 years ago we were a small, local firm based in Rugby serving a predominantly rural community.  Since then we have grown substantially in the communities in which we operate.  Brethertons is now recognised as one of the Top 250 firms in the UK with offices in Rugby, Banbury and London.

Today’s Brethertons is a firm with vision and business purpose, we provide clients like you with a full range of personal and commercial legal advice and continue to do so from family law to insolvency, from conveyancing to commercial property, from commercial contracts to employment contracts, from litigation to commercial debt recoveries and as always Wills, probate and estate planning.  We provide a series of newsletters all of which are available to download from our website.

2010 has been a memorable year already.  Not only is it our 200th Birthday but we have received many awards for our legal prowess:-

• We won Best Use of IT and Communications and were finalists for Contribution to the Community, Coventry Telegraph Business Awards 2010
• We won Litigation Team of the Year, Credit Today Awards 2010
• We recieved a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Rugby Business Awards 2010

• We were the number one supporter of Will Aid in the Midlands during 2009/2010 
• We opened our London office in Berkeley Square

200 hours Charity Giveaway

As part of our 200th Anniversary celebrations my Partners and I have decided to give away 200 hours of free legal advice to local charities, clubs and good causes.  This equates to approximately £35,000 of legal advice.
